Our Story

Gary Whiting RDT MDTA and Neil Martin RDT MDTA founded the Dental Lab ltd in 2002 after working together for 10 years in another commercial lab. The aim then as it is now, is to not only be a High Quality Crown & Bridge and Implant Laboratory, but also provide a dedicated service that only a small intimate lab can offer.

To enable us to achieve this we strive towards developing long term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with the modern Dentist. Through effective two-way communication and continual research, training and product development we provide the complete Crown & Bridge service to our growing list of very satisfied clients and patients.

Supporting the community

To celebrate the Dental Lab’s 10 year anniversary, Neil, Gary and Jamie undertook the Brighton Marathon in 2012.

The first marathon for all three of them, it was quite an achievement, and they finished with very impressive times.

Their efforts raised over £1000.00 for the NSPCC.

Meet The Team

Gary

Proprietor Gary RDT MDTA has been working in the industry for over 25 years, and in 1990 became a registered Dental Technician. With experience in all Dental Technology fields he now specialises in Ceramics, and was one of the first technicians in the country to trial Dicor, the first commercially available cast glass ceramic system in the 1980’s. Born in East Sussex, he enjoys family life, and golf.

Jocelyn

Jocelyn also part of our team is again, a dedicated technician of many years experience. She works with Gary in the Ceramic Department. Local to Sussex, she likes to keep fit and has a busy family life.

Neil

Business partner Neil RDT MDTA has been a technician all his working life and obtained his National Diploma in Dental Technology in 1992 after serving an apprenticeship in a German owned lab in Sussex. Initially predominantly working with prosthetics, his focus now lies with Substructures-metal and metal free, and gold restorations. Local to Uckfield with a young family, he likes to go fishing in his spare time.

James

James is the most recent addition to the Dental Lab. A keen technician with experience in all aspects of Crown and Bridge work, he has proved a valuable member of the team. He enjoys films and is a car enthusiast.

Jamie

Jamie, brother of Gary has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of Dental Technology. This commenced when he started his career working in one of the southeast’s most progressive laboratories. He works alongside Neil in the Gold Work Department.

He has a small family and involves himself in the village community where he lives.

Wendy

Wendy, sister of Neil, has a background of Floristry and worked for several years in Purchasing and Accounts Payable. She is keen to ensure that the client gets the best service possible. She runs the office and co-ordinates the progress of work from receipt to despatch.
